Qianji Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Qianji application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and AppForges. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Because Qianji has no account system, we will publish modified Terms through app release notes or on our website. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Service Description

Qianji is an offline-first technical reading app for iOS/iPadOS, Android, and HarmonyOS NEXT, offering: - 235 curated technical articles with illustrations, bundled with the app and available offline - Full-text search - Bookmarks, highlights, notes, and reading-progress tracking (all stored locally on your device) - Sharing of article titles and attribution via the system share sheet

The App is free to download; a selection of articles is free to read, and the remaining content is unlocked through a one-time purchase (see Section 5). Core features such as reading and search run fully offline and do not depend on a network connection.

We may add, adjust, or remove specific features and content through version updates. We strive to maintain the quality of the content and features, but do not guarantee that the App will run error-free at all times.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, limited license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial learning purposes.

You may not: - Resell, rent, or lend the App or its unlock entitlements - Copy, modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the App (except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law) - Bypass, defeat, or circumvent the App's paid-unlock mechanism

4. Intellectual Property and Content Copyright

All intellectual property in the App and every part of it — including the software, interface design, trademarks, and the 235 bundled articles and illustrations — belongs to AppForges and is protected by copyright law and other applicable laws.

The bundled content is licensed to you for personal reading and learning only. Without our prior written permission, you may not: - Copy, republish, publish, or communicate the article content to the public (whether in full or in substantial part) - Obtain the content by scraping, bulk extraction, or other automated means - Resell or distribute the content, or use it for any commercial purpose - Distribute copies of any content exported through App features (including PDF and other exported files) - Use the content to train machine-learning models or to build derivative datasets

Article titles and attribution passed along through the share feature may be forwarded freely; this permission does not extend to article bodies.

5. Purchases and Refunds

Qianji follows a "free preview + one-time purchase" model: completing a single one-time (non-consumable) purchase unlocks all content. No subscriptions, no auto-renewal, no follow-on charges of any kind.

Payment channels and pricing: - iOS/iPadOS: completed via Apple App Store in-app purchase - HarmonyOS NEXT: completed via Huawei AppGallery in-app payment - Android: completed via WeChat Pay or Alipay in your system browser The actual price is the amount shown in the store or on the checkout page at the time of purchase.

Restoring purchases: on iOS and HarmonyOS, you can use the in-app "Restore Purchases" feature to reclaim your entitlements through your Apple Account or Huawei account. On Android, purchase entitlements are tied to the anonymous identifier on your device; uninstalling the App or switching devices may prevent entitlements from being restored automatically — if you run into trouble, contact support@appforges.com for assistance.

Refunds: - For purchases completed through the Apple App Store or Huawei AppGallery, refund requests and processing follow the respective platform's refund policy; please submit them directly to the platform - For purchases completed via WeChat Pay or Alipay, contact support@appforges.com and we will handle your request in accordance with applicable law and payment-channel rules Once a refund is complete, the corresponding content returns to a locked state; your local data, such as bookmarks and notes, is unaffected.

6. User Conduct

When using Qianji, you agree not to: - Use the App or the bundled content for any unlawful purpose - Crack or bypass the paid-unlock mechanism, or assist others in doing so - Reverse engineer the App or extract the bundled content library - Forge or tamper with purchase receipts or order information - Interfere with, attack, or abuse our billing service

7. Disclaimers

The App and its bundled content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

In particular: - The bundled articles are technical knowledge content, provided for learning and reference only; they do not constitute professional advice of any kind - Technology moves fast, and we do not guarantee that the content is at all times fully accurate, complete, or reflective of the latest practice - Any decisions made on the basis of the content — including architecture, configuration, and operations decisions for production environments — are your own judgment and responsibility; the content itself is no guarantee of any outcome in any production environment

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AppForges shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

We are not responsible for: - Loss of local data (bookmarks, notes, and so on) caused by device failure, failed system backups, or uninstalling the App - Service interruptions of app stores or third-party payment channels beyond our reasonable control

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for the App.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with their effective date noted, and material changes will be flagged in app release notes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction.
